About UMA
A private memory for the stores you love: where they are, why they mattered, what you bought, and who sent you there. Not a list of bookmarks, but a memory you can ask.
For Uma
UMA is named for my mother, Uma. She remembered everything, and when any of us needed to recall a shop, a name or a date, we asked her. She is no longer with us. This is a way of keeping that memory close.
How it works
- 🛍️ Save it in seconds. Paste a link, a Google or Apple Maps link, or a name, and it's matched to the real store.
- 🎙️ Or just tell it. Say or type what you heard (“the best chole bhature place in Rajouri Garden…”) and the store, the reason and the people are picked out for you. When the name isn't certain, you check the near matches before anything changes.
- 💛 Keep the why. Memories, people, visits, purchases and products build up around each store over time.
- ✨ Ask Uma. “Where did Priya tell me to go?” Answers come only from what you've saved, with links to the stores.
🔒 Your data
- Everything you save is private to you.
- To understand what you tell it and to answer questions, your words and saved memories are sent to Anthropic's Claude. Store names are looked up on Google Maps.
- You can download all your data at any time, and delete it from your account, with two days to change your mind.
